Shopping Centres – Mother’s Day Events and Social Media campaign
A bespoke Mother’s Day campaign across several shopping centre Facebook pages, which resulted in 20% increase in page ‘likes’ and generated significant online and offline excitement around in-store activities.
The challenge for the client was to engage a new demographic of shoppers via new channels, while recognising existing shoppers and involving centre retailers. The centre Facebook pages had minimal likes and interaction that research showed could be better utilised to target the core demographic of young families in the respective areas.
A fun, interactive campaign comprising:
- shopper interview videos: ‘What do you love about your mum?’
- a Mother’s Day ‘pamper station’ where mums could get a free, three minute massage dressed in robe and eye mask
- roses handed out by centre retailers, and
- pamper pack competition via Facebook
ensured that the client goals of engagement, social sharing and increase in sales were met in a fun and ‘mum-loving’ way!
